pEOpLE oF mY 2012

Looking for some newspaper in my dad’s home-office, what I found was the old Time Magazine. I have read one of the article, “Person of the Year”. There were stories of those people who influenced the world of another person, what did they do to their country & why they are so important to some people or most of the people. Honestly, it inspired me that's why  I decided to come up with my own list...

so I would like to honor the people who made a big impact on my life for 2012…This is my little way of saying thank you for what they'd done(consciously or unconsciously).

JORY JOHN F. FLORES

My hubby, my man, my partner, my best friend, my travel mate, my lover, my pillar, my knight in shining armour, my prince, my suitor forever, my shoulder to cry on, etc. in short, MY EVERYTHING…i just wanna share how this man have changed my life. His thoughtfulness, his kindheartedness and pagiging maalaga makes me love him more and more. I learned from him to be more patient, to understand life the way it treated us.. For him, "walang masamang tinapay"! This man is beautiful inside and out! And i would like to be more of him this year! ;)

VIRGILIO “VER” RIVERA

I will always remember how he took care of me since i was a little. The love and affection that a father can brings.. Mula sa pagsusuot nya sa akin ng medyas nung elementary ako, pag attend ng mga PTA meetings sa school, pag-gawa ng projects and assignments ko, even my first "broken hearted" issue..he was there too - giving me some advices about life and love... i remember he told me na, "hayaan mo na yun, wala syang backbone to defend you" sabi nya pa, "charge to experience and learn from it". At kahit ngayong may asawa na ako, he's still there whenever i needed some advice...
My dad keeps on inspiring me on his point of views in every aspect of life..I have learned and lived the values he taught me just by being him. I admire his principles in life. He make me believe that anyone can be an instrument to have a better society. I can't thank my G enough for letting me be as his daughter. He is the dad all daughters would wish and pray to God for. I am one grateful and lucky daughter and i will always be my daddy's little angel.

ARNIE STO. DOMINGO-RIVERA

A wife, a mother, a sister, a mommy to all her nieces and nephews and a career woman! What i always remember from my mom during my childhood days was i'm her constant shopping companion. I love the way she took care of me and giving me what i want. She supports me in some of major decisions of my life and give advice when needed. I've seen her a woman of strength. She is amazing superwoman, a multi-tasker, all around inspiring sister/aunt. She's definitely something to be admire and emulated. Oh by the way, she's also a good cook!

1. NICKANOR S. RIVERA

My super lolo!

2. Danielle Reign R. Rivera

This little girl inspired me to be an independent woman..bata pa lang sya kakikitaan mo na na kaya nyang alagaan ang sarili nya.

3. Rexie Lyn R. Pelijates & Beverly M. Sison

These are my very close/open friends way back in elementary(beah) and high school(rexie).. sila ang dalawang taong subok ko na ang loyalty sa akin. Sila yung mga taong maasahan ko in times of ups and downs ng buhay ko.. They will defend me as long as they can.. they are the kind of friends na hindi mo kakayaning itapon. They inspired me and will look up to them always.

4. Ira Viola Margaret O. BendaƱa, Cezylyn P. Vidanes & Rose Lyn P. Rivera

We know each other since high school days, they are my religious buddies, my tropa, my girlfriends and my confidantes! I admire my girls for being soooooooooo religious to the nth power! I will always admire them and follow their steps and will pass it on sa kaapu-apuhan ko. Thanks girls for everything! Through thick and thin, we'll be stick to each other...the magic in our friendship will always be there! =)

5. Ram, Bullet & Jacob

My nephews! I will always be in love with these kids.. they are so precious to me. Every time I woke up in the morning they never failed to make me smile. Priceless! They remind me to be a child-like always. Hoooooray for these kids!

6. Rhodora F. Dionisio

We’ve been officemates since 2005 and became my Godmother on 2010 when I got married. For me, she’s a superwoman, a woman of substance and strength. I admire her for being such a loving mother to her children. She’ll do everything for her family, come hell and high water. She inspired me on how to handle trials in life. She will be my living example on how to be a GGL (good, great and loving) mother.

7. Kaye Vien S. Sto. Domingo

My cousin! We are not biological sisters but we treat each other as sister. Last year, we are given the chance to have time together specially when hubby left me for abroad. She is my driver..yes she is because wherever i go she always accompany me.
She knows my problems specially sa lagi kong iniiiyak sa kanya. Alam ko mahal ako nito and I know she cares for me big time and ganun din naman ako sa kanya. We are cuszzy-sissy for life! I love this gurl…we are alike… sometimes! Lol :D

8. May-Ann D. Rosal & Ma. Janice C. dela Cruz

The communications between all of us are open even though we are miles apart, our friendship won’t change it.. Thank you to FB, Skype and Sun.
Hindi sila nagbabago at nananatiling nakaapak ang paa nila sa lupa that’s why they are so blessed. Silang dalawa ay modelo ng isang mabuting anak, kapatid at kaibigan..and I’ll continue admiring both of them.

9. Marie Grace P. Muller

A businesswoman and a friend to me. I admire on how she handles her work, family and business all at the same time! She’s the person behind the success of my online shop, the FaB shop and i will always be grateful and thankful for the trust that she’s giving me every time we have a huge transaction. Little did she know that she inspires me every step of the way!

10. Pia Monina R. Subida

My cousin Pia inspires me to be strong, taught me to fight if needed and also taught me to be fabulous in my own simple ways. Her smart and good character brought her to what she is right now. She is a wife, a mother and a career woman all at the same time plus she's a good singer and pretty preggy! She can do everything for her family no matter what...

11. Cheann Jelyn Aragones, Sherwin Cruz, Jo-Ann Ramos & Reign

They are my SFC Family turned movie dates! Every time i would like to watch a movie these guys always accompany me. We share the same kind of interest! like watching movies, concerts and food tripping! We have different kind of profession but we "click" each other! I just wanna thank you guys for giving me sheets of tissue whenever i'm crying over the heavy drama movies and comedy as well! More movies to us this 2013!

Dax Balajadia, Waq Francisco, Lox Perea and Tox Santos

The Band

These guys love their families and kids so much. They are good providers to their family. Sila ang mga tatay ng tropa. You would see them na parang wala lang, mababaw sa mga katuwaan but if you get the chance to talk to each of them..you would say na ang mabababaw na to ay may itinatagong lalim din. They would give advice to us girls and you know what? super spoiled kami sa kanila and I know they would defend us always. Keep on rockin'!

Cezylyn Vidanes, The Juezans (John Ray & Karen)
Jayvee Vocal, Ian Paron & Jeffrey Vidanes
Ishna Fernando, Our Trainor Bernard  & Frances Eloise Silao

12. THE VERTUDS

Since I decided playing badminton, these beautiful people became my buddies! Sila ang inspirasyon ko to lose weight (go for 120 lbs!),  kumain ng gulay pag may time at maging fit and fabulous pag may time din! I'm so thankful that they became a part of my  2012. Looking forward to 2013!

P.S. Thank you for taking time to read the people who made a big difference in my life. Never too late to thank them! =)

ThE UPs & DOWN's oF mY 2012

Alone in my room on this cold-sunny afternoon I've been thinking of my life for the past year. Then I realized that there are some of good(UPs) and not so good(DOWNs) stuff had happened...

So let me begin with the DOWNs...

1st quarter of the year 2012:

1. February: A good friend of mine lost her mother. Unfortunately she never saw her dying because she's based in Canada. So gaano kasakit na makita mo ang nanay mo inside her white casket? Nakakapunit ng puso.. Every time my friend confides me about the lost of her nanay, I felt the agony inside of her.

2. March: Someone who is somehow became a part of my life had passed away. Nakakalungkot lang isipin na kahit simpleng hi and hellos ay walang naglakas ng loob to utter those words to each other even for old time sake...but i was supposed to throw that words to him if nagkasakay lang ulet kami sa jeep before he left permanently...

2nd quarter of the year 2012:

3. May: Our family, the Sto. Till now, some of my aunts esp. my mom are trying to cope up with this tragedy to our family.

She died due to illness and old age i guess... we accepted it in a very light manner..

5. October: One of my sister(not biological), Rossiena also left us permanently because of cancer. She may died young but she will lives forever young in our hearts.

Life is too short. Pahalagahan at mahalin pa natin ang mga dear ones sa ating buhay... we'll never know, baka next time ay hindi na natin sila makasama. for sure ayaw natin na meron tayong guilt feelings right?

And now let me share to you the UPs of my 2012:

1. Went to Pangasinan to see one of the beautiful creation of G, hundred islands!
2. Visited the church of Our Lady of Manaog!
3. Hubby signed another 7 months contract. Blessing!
4. The success of my online stores, the FaB shop and style me FaB events & designs are doing pretty good!
5. The privilege to visit other countries - Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City(Saigon) in Vietnam and Pnom Penh, Siem Reap in Cambodia
6. Got my very first sport: Badminton
7.
8. Received so many blessings at the last quarter of the year.
9. My Family(Sto. Domingo-Rivera & Flores)
10. Last but definitely not the least, my hubby!

A lot of things to be thankful for...sabi nga nila, pagkatapos ng lungkot ay may saya ring kasama... God's plan is better than our plans.. just have faith and believe!

My First Trip To The City In A Forest

April 27, 2011
Wednesday

It's the day that my co workers, my hubby and i will go to a place that is called "The City In A Forest".

Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan has been the nerve center of activities in Palawan. Aside from being the seat of public administration, it is the heart of trade, commerce, service and industry in the province. Today, under the leadership of Mayor Edward S. Hagedorn, the City has gained the distinction of being a model city - in cleanliness, environmental protection and conservation, and local governance in general. And so, with a responsive leadership and an inspired citizenry, the tradition of Puerto Prinsesa being a beautiful and clean city lives on.

This trip was originally design as trip of attending PACE Convention. And since we're there already, we decided to go to their tourist spots and explore the beautiful and wonderful creations of G.

We left the municipal building of Angono, Rizal at 12:00 past in the afternoon, we we're in a hurry for we might missed our flight but we arrived on the right time. We'll depart Domestic Terminal via Zest Air fleet flight Z2420 bound to Puerto Prinsesa. Our flight is supposed to be depart at 3:30pm but it was delayed due to ek-ek reason! haiiissst! and that's my first time that my flight was delayed! such a waste of time! So to keep myself busy, i took some photos while waiting for our flight.

Celebrating My 1st Birthday as Mrs. F in Casa San Pablo

Prior to this trip, our first plan is to have an overnight stay in Tagaytay and hear mass at Caleruaga Church. But the plan was changed because of Nano. The day before my birthday, she called me and greeted me in advance(sooo thoughtful). =) I asked her if she knows any place to celebrate my birthday. And she told me to try the Kinabuhayan Cafe in Quezon or the Casa San Pablo in Laguna. Right after our conversation, I immediately open my laptop and searched for the places she suggested. When browsing the internet, I was already fascinated to Casa San Pablo Bed and Breakfast so when my eyes reached their contact number, I texted Mr. Boots Alcantara(the owner). At first, there were no replied so i missed call and it rang....the rest was history! my husband and I were finally booked! =)

Tucked into a corner of one of San Pablo's still genteel family compounds. Casa San Pablo is a cozy country inn surrounded by Baguio-like pine trees and sprawling lawns. It is country charm that lures visitors here. At night, pathways are lined with candlelight and mats are laid out on the lawn for moon gazing. This is what Casa San Pablo described their place. =)
